What is MU Scalp?
MU Scalp & Hair Growth Solutions is a medically-guided hair loss treatment centre in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. We are the sister brand of ME Clinic KK, backed by over 20 years of dermatological expertise.
Who is Dr. Lu?
Dr. Lu Ying Shean is the founder of both ME Clinic and MU Scalp. She is a physician with over 20 years of experience in dermatology and aesthetic medicine who personally trains and supervises all MU Scalp therapists.
What types of hair loss do you treat?
We treat a full range of conditions including androgenetic alopecia (pattern baldness), telogen effluvium (stress-related shedding), alopecia areata (patchy hair loss), traction alopecia, postpartum hair loss, and age-related thinning.
Do I need a consultation before treatment?
Yes. We believe every effective treatment starts with understanding the root cause. A consultation allows us to assess your scalp, identify your condition, and recommend the right approach.
How much does a consultation cost?

How long does a consultation take?
Typically 30-45 minutes. This includes scalp analysis, discussion of your medical history and concerns, and an initial assessment of your condition.
How soon will I see results?
Scalp conditions may improve within days. Hair regrowth typically takes 3-6 months of consistent treatment, as hair growth cycles are naturally slow. We set honest expectations from the start.
Are your treatments safe?
Yes. All our treatments are medically-guided and supervised by therapists trained by Dr. Lu. We use only dermatologist-approved products and evidence-based techniques.
Is treatment safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
We offer treatments that are safe for pregnant and breastfeeding women. Always inform us of your current situation so we can adjust your treatment plan accordingly.
Can men get treatment here too?
Absolutely. Hair loss affects both men and women. We treat male pattern baldness, stress-related hair loss, and other conditions common in men.
Do you sell products without a consultation?
We recommend a consultation first so we can recommend the right products for your specific condition. We don't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions.
